Peng immigrated to Thunder Bay, Ontario in 1990. In 1992, his first restaurant called Tai Chi was opened in the Crest Hotel and in 1996 Twin Dragons Restaurant on Cumberland Street began operation.

With many years of business and administrative experience, Cheryl manages all of the Tai Chi Chef operations and also serves as Assistant to the Chef.
